About Chinatown

Chinatown Restaurant was established in Belleville in 1985. We have been serving quality Chinese food to this neighborhood for nearly 20 years. In 2002 & 2003, Chinatown Restaurant was voted the best Asian Restaurant by the readers of the Belleville News-Democrat. We have served many thousands of satisfied customers, many of whom had moved away from the area and often found it difficult to find another Chinese Restaurant that can compare to Chinatown. The reasons are many. Here are some of them:

FRESHNESS: We cook fresh to order, practically every order. Food tastes the best when served hot and fresh. That's why our food is so much better than those places where their food could be sitting in steam tables for hours.

QUALITY: We only use quality meats, vegetables and ingredients. Many Chinese restaurants use heavy spices, dark sauces and tenderizers to mask the inferiority of their meats. Often the customer only tastes the spice, but not the food. Not so at Chinatown. We want you to be able to taste the food, not just the spice. What you taste is what you get at Chinatown. Our food is definitely lighter, leaner and healthier.

HEALTHY COOKING METHOD: We use the healthier, old-fashioned method of stir-frying. We use very little oil. Meats and vegetables are cooked in their natural juices, and the sauce is made from the same juices that cook your food. The end result is great tasting and healthier food.

PERSONAL TOUCH: Being family owned all along, we take pride in preparing everything on the premises. We make our own egg rolls, our own pot stickers and our own sauces, etc. All these homemade items are favorites of many customers because they can taste the difference. There are more choice ingredients and more quality built into them.

SERVICE: Service means cooking and serving our customers' orders the way they want them done, with courtesy and flexibility. Just being prompt and friendly is not good enough for us. We literally custom make orders to customers' satisfaction.

VALUE: Over the years, our menu prices have been at the low end of the industry. Our portions are usually bigger than average.

As you can see, Chinatown Restaurant is different from the pack in more ways than one. After all, 20 years of cooking experience in itself is a success!
